The start is always fresh

About an hour ago, I decided to write something about “The Continous Motivation”.

The importance of that thing.

I correlate it with the power of beginning which I also consider as an important thing. I remembered an illustration given by someone, I totally forgot it, not sure whether he is preacher, or I heard that on radio, but the illustration is also become a strong factor why finally I take courage to have this website and publish the first post. He began the story.

“A child has just won the competition (for how many times, I also forgot what competition) and he got a cup. Then he went home. His mom welcomed him with much joy, she told him how proud she is, and it went with mother-son conversation.  After that, the boy asked his mom to give him a present for his victory, and the mom said yes, she said she would think what she would give, and at the time the mom wanted to ask his son what he likes, the son only said he has decided what his mom should give him. He asked cupboard. He said “I want to save my trophy in my cupboard”

Yes, a cupboard. Many of us maybe won’t expect this answer because besides it’s so rare, we think that there are many kinds of presents better than a cupboard. He’s even a little boy, after all. Why not toys, or football t-shirt, basketball, skateboard, shoes, or a trip? What’s going on in his head?

The preacher/radio continued the story.

“His mom shocked, and asked his son why he need a cupboard. His trophy can be placed on a table or in his family cupboard. His mom compromise she will buy a cupboard if he gets a lot of trophy, more than 3 trophies, she said. He rejected. Here’s what he said”

“I need a cupboard, so I can get more trophies””

Well, I got “ohh” mixed with “wow” moment when the explanation was told.

But he was right with his belief.

After he got his own cupboard, the new trophy comes slowly but sure, then become regularly. Time passes, the cupboard only has small space left.

What I learned from here is  he appreciated his first victory well, he appreciated his trophy. He has desire for winning the next competition. He gets more intensive in practicing.

We can assume that he also thought that he just got one, no need to hurry to bought the cupboard. If he actually had this thought, so here we just got another lesson.

He didn’t show his humble-ness earlier.

He got the feeling that his trophy has proved that he’s capable. He got the recognition from others because of the trophy. So he believed that he is talented, and he wants more trophies. He gets passionate.

So there he goes.

After the cupboard standed in his living room, he got aware of that cupboard.

He was aware what does the cupboard mean to him.

There is some encouragement there, I guess. What I find interesting is when you make the start, then it will affect you.

When you make a start, you want to make (the next) progress.

This post actually prove it right, and it was exciting.

I find it in our lifes that after we make a start, we have bunch of spirit to continue it, but because life doesn’t contain only with good things, you (we all) will met by obstacles.

High stones that complicate us to jump.

Many people nailed them. Others step back.

I have a prediction of what makes them different. I believe that others who say goodbye to the stones have forgotten where they put their motivation. They lost their energy to keep up.

I got this—I say this an insight—from my mentor.

In order to make you accomplish all of your activities in a day you have to have enough energy, and where does the energy come from?

Of course, from the source of energy.

.

Kidding-not-kidding

The source of the energy comes from your food. The good food, and it will make you fit, healthy to do the activities.

If lack of food cause the lack of energy. What situation possibly happens to you?

And so does to keep our work going, you need to have “the continous motivation”

It means that you planned yourself to keep that motivation in your mind, your heart, your body. You know CEARLY why you choose it as your motivation. Better if that motivation has strong attachment to your  emotional feeling. It’s also good if the motivation you choose because it can evade danger in your life.

I’ll give you an example. You choose to continue your online shop because if you stop, your family will be in hunger, they will get sick, you can’t pay the rent of your house. You can be kicked. Your family and you will be homeless. So you have to keep your business.

Everytime you caught yourself get lazy, tired and want to stop or even to make a long rest, activate your brain to get the motivation out so you can remember. It reminds you why you start and hopefully, remind you why you must continue.

Remember, choose THE RIGHT REASON as your motivation. This rightness depends on each person, ofc.

The right-er you choose, the stronger it will keep you walking.

Good luck!

(ps: i hope the title matches with the writing, because it appears like a flash in my mind, and ya, i immediately type it)
